Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Clip-In Extensions.

When cared for properly, high-quality clip-ins can last one to three years of occasional use. Wear frequency, product use, and storage affect lifespan. Synthetic pieces last shorter; human hair sets last longer and can be restyled and trimmed to extend life.

Properly applied and adjusted clip-ins place minimal stress on hair and scalp. Avoid clipping too close to roots, heavy multiple wefts, or sleeping in them. Schedule salon fittings and follow weight limits to protect delicate strands and prevent breakage.

Human-hair clip-ins tolerate coloring and heat styling when done carefully. Always perform strand tests and use professional-grade dyes and heat protectants. Synthetic extensions typically cannot be heat-styled. Consult our stylists to match color and recommend safe temperatures.

We typically assess based on your hair thickness and desired result. Fine hair may need 3–4 sets, medium hair 2–3 sets, and very thick hair more. Book a consult so we can measure, recommend exact weft counts, and provide pricing.

Application typically takes 45–90 minutes depending on number of wefts and styling. Color-matching or cut-in blending could add time. We recommend arriving with clean, dry hair and allocating extra time for consultations to ensure seamless results.

Gently brush before washing, use sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water, condition mid-shaft to ends, and air-dry flat. Store in a breathable bag or box on labeled hangers to prevent tangling, crushing, and to preserve shape and shine.
